This is Sfogliatella an Italian pastry that might just be flakier and better than France’s iconic croissants. Literally meaning “thin layers” this laminated dessert has a crispy exterior and a ricotta and citron filling. While it might not have become popular or viral yet (even though it definitely should), this might just be the best and flakiest pastry I have ever tried.

The Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, also seems to agree with him making it in his bakeries and cafes in New York. Would you like to try this sweet treat?

  1. In Puerto Rico we have Quesitos they are a flaky pastry filled with cream cheese and caramelized sugar on top some people brush some honey on them to make it gleam and pretty and give a sweet flavor too
