Honestly, that looks good IMO. Way better than 90% of restaurant carbonara where you get the cream-based sauce that has nothing to do with the real thing

Doesn’t look too bad tbh, the basta seems a bit weird and the egg seems just a bit too liquid, but beside that (and the parsley) it’s acceptable

That doesn’t look right at all, I’m italian and there should be no “green” in the carbonara, but in general it looks off

it looks like a hollandaise with green bits in it

You are here to ensure rage. If you have enough sense to come on here and post this, you should know where to order Italian food from. With Yelp and common knowledge of your area, you should know where to get authentic food.
There’s mom-and-pop fast Italian food, mid-level Italian food, and high-end Italian food. You get what you pay for.

My rule when eating out: if I think I do it pretty well, I donโt order it ๐

I just had a restaurant bucatini carbonara last night. There was a poached egg on top, almost no pepper, too runny, and the guanciale was not cut properly. The bucatini was a bit much for the dish too. Ive never heard of serving carbonara with a poached egg on top. Is that a thing?
