  1. Despite being Italian it must be the most consumed Christmas thing in Brazil during the period, the only thing is that the variation with Chocolate is very popular too

  2. True story I once set fired to that bread 🍞 in front of my wife as a sign of my dedication to renew our marriage and she left me for her co-worker. Two years later she came back to me and we got back together and she asked me “why did I set that patoneie bread on fire and what did it symbolize” I said absolutely nothing. I just wanted to get her attention that day cause I didn’t know what to say. She said whenever she saw those bread at the market she thought of me. So I guess if you do something weird people will remember you.

  3. Hey I’m a professional baker in America and our starter in our dough that my boss started when he was young is like 23 years old man started it when his son was born. It’s gotta a freaking amazing taste, lol. If you need tips, I’d love to help you out. Honestly it looks like you didn’t let it proof long enough what was your bulk time, what was the friction factor of your mixer, how long did you let it reset before you folded it and how many times.

  4. As an italian i didnt expect you to like It so much since litteraly everyone in Italy hate It. In fact we eat another special xmas dish the Pandora (which Is 30 times Better than panettone)🗿

  5. While the process is not the same, visually it looks almost identical to a Paskha, a traditional bread we make in Eastern Europe for Orthodox Easter.

  6. I had the exact same problem with mine i did last year. It just doesn‘t rise like the real thing does. Will have to give it another try

  7. Thats a 10 my boy (and im not even italian) there literally isn't anything more perfect than panettone

  8. You need a special air "condition" to make it great. Italy's air just have this combination of moisture and temperature to make the dough rise enough. That's why all good panettones come from Italy.

  9. Last year my mother in Greece bought it from a supermarket I had no idea it was Italian
Cause she works there , she knows what is selling and told me that panettone's are selling like crazy and many supermarket have run out of panettone 😂.
