Well. All governments have similar characteristics as a mafia. Sometimes a real mafia might even care about locals better than a government would do. Mafias can be good for a society.

Nice video Vice, there are similarities to how the deeply rooted the cartels are with the Mexican food industry, especially with avocados and limes.
