Neapolitan Mostaccioli (or mustaccioli) are traditional Christmas sweets from Campania (south of Italy). Easy and quick, very yummy, they are perfect for the holiday season most loved by young and old alike. Today we want to prepare them with you in the original Neapolitan version. Mostaccioli are soft spiced cookies covered with a generous layer of dark chocolate. The spicy aroma is imparted by the typical Neapolitan pisto, a mixture of roasted spices.

🧁 INGREDIENTS.
– 4 oz (120 g) hazelnuts
– 4 teaspoons cinnamon
– 3 teaspoons nutmeg
– 1 teaspoon cloves
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 18 oz (500 gr) all purposes flour
– 2 tbsp (25 gr) of bitter cocoa
– 1 organic orange peel
– 7 oz (200 gr) granulated sugar
– 7 oz (200 ml) water
– 3 oz (80 gr) honey
– 2 oz (50 gr) butter
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 8 gr of ammonium bicarbonate
– 25 oz (700 gr) dark chocolate
