    This was a perfect video today as I was wondering last night how my Nonna used to made these. The story goes that my Sabatini relatives had a chestnut farm in Pistoia.. Sadly there’s no one left to ask about this. But I have looked up information about chestnuts and I am fascinated with the pods. I think they are beautiful so maybe it’s in my blood.

    Happy Thanksgiving 😊 🦃👍 looks delicious 😋 when I lived in NYC I remember the smell of roasted chestnuts 🌰 out on the streets. Miss that smell of roasting chestnuts up and down the streets of the 3rd Avenue street vendors and the hot pretzels were so delicious as they picked up the scent 😋

    Ciao Bello, I wish we could have chestnuts all year round,I don't know of any Italian home that didn't make chestnuts the whole time they are in season, my favorite way is to peel them and boil in water salt and bay leaves.
