Omg that looks just like the Cassata we had for Easter. My cousin brought it from Buffalo, NY. We don’t have a bakery here that makes it unfortunately. I took a piece home for myself and I planned on having it with coffee later today but my daughter ate it, oh no! She tells me it’s her new favourite, well good for you lol. I’m going to my mom’s later and sniff around for another piece lol.

Add: My mother said those magic words to me, “You want the rest of this we won’t be able to finish it”. My response. “Ah yes, sure no problem, yes, yes”. She also told me that she has her mom’s receipt for a Cassata so we are going to make it together for an occasion. She starting saying that it’s easy and that she already has most of the ingredients, so funny. Great stuff.
