Eva and I recently visited the incredible city of Bologna, which I learned has an intriguing nickname: “La Grassa,” or “The Fat.” I was skeptical that this particular Italian city deserved the title, but Eva was determined to prove me wrong with the help of Bolognese food historian Luca Cesari.

It was all going great until I ate something off the menu and got food poisoning…
