It’s the beginning of April, and it’s time for our annual trip into the “chaos” part of this channel, as we try something a bit different with cast iron. Earlier this year I learned a little bit about the way other countries look at the United States, especially with the way our eating habits and our foods are presented in other countries. According to other countries, the most American food of all must be hot dogs, since there are a lot of dishes around the world that call themselves “American style” by adding hot dogs. And we’re taking a look at a few of these “American” foods here, including pizza with hot dog and french fry topping…and a popular Asian dish of stir fried rice with hot dogs and ketchup. Because of course we eat ketchup fried rice every day here in America.
