Eataly is a feast for all your senses.
This indoor-market mecca for lovers of everything Italian was first founded in Turin. Since then, locations have popped up in New York, Boston, and Chicago.
The latest, here, at the Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, which opened in November 2017.
It’s at least two-stories and 67,000 square feet of eating and shopping. And, of course, all the Italian staples such as pizza, pasta, and mozzarella.
Listen closely for Italian accents, and take in the aroma of fresh-baked bread. Explore the aisles of groceries and specialty products as you taste samples and pause to watch workers prepare food.
With more than a dozen places to eat, it may be hard deciding where to settle in for a meal. We were not disappointed with Il Pesce Cucina. No one does fish like 2-Michelin-star chef Michael Cimarusti.
The striped sea bass prepared with olive oil and herbs is simply a perfect combination of savory crisp skin and well-seasoned tender meat. Grab a seat at the bar to watch all the action.
There’s only one way to wrap up your visit at Eataly and that’s with dessert. Stop by La Pasticceria & Venchi for chocolate or try one of these bite-sized treats.
