Cantucci | Fail-proof classic recipe
Ingredients:
✔️ flour 600 grams
✔️ sugar 200 grams
✔️ butter 100 grams
✔️ milk 50 ml
✔️ vanilla sugar 1 packet
✔️ egg 3
✔️baking powder 1 teaspoon
✔️ salt 0.5 teaspoon
✔️ nuts 100 grams
1. Mix flour with baking powder, sugar and soften butter. Mix until crumbly consistency.
2. Lightly beat eggs with salt and milk.
3. Mix everything, add nuts and knead into a thick dough
4.Wrap the dough in the clingfilm and let it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes
5. Divide the dough into 3 portions, each about 4 cm wide in average.
6. Place 3 loaves on parchment and bake for 25 minutes at T180C
7. Let it cool down and cut the loaves into 1-1.5 cm pieces.
8. Put flat side up on a baking tray and bake at 180°C for 7-10 minutes.
9. The cookies can be perfectly stored in a glass jar.
