Ingredients:
1 lb cavatappi pasta, cooked & cooled
1 lb Italian sausages, crumbled
1-28 oz can diced or crushed tomatoes
5½ oz yellow or red onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp dried basil
Salt & ground black pepper to taste
To Serve:
Chopped parsley

0:10 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a baking casserole with cooking spray.
0:15 In a deep skillet, warm the olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the Italian sausage crumbles in the pan, and saute until caramelized.
0:35 Add in the chopped onion, garlic, oregano, and basil. Continue sauteing until translucent.
0:55 Stir in crushed tomatoes and honey. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, then reduce heat to low. Let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
1:30 Stir in the cavatappi pasta. Transfer the pasta and sauce into the baking dish.
1:45 Sprinkle it with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for 30 minutes until the dish is warmed through and the cheese has melted.
