Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups milk
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp cocoa powder
4 oz (100g) dark chocolate/ chocolate chips
1 – 2 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt

Optional:
1/2 cup whipped cream or marshmallows (for topping)

1. Mix cocoa powder and cornstarch with 1/2 cup of milk.
2. Add rest of the milk to a saucepan and heat stirring occasionally until it is hot.
3. Whisk in cornstarch mixture into the hot milk, then add sugar and salt. (whisk the mixture until slightly thicken)
4. Turn off the heat and add the chopped chocolate and whisk until they melt into the milk.
5. Serve immediately, topped with your favorite garnishes: whipped cream or marshmallows.
