Sandro Boscaini founded Masi Agricola SpA. Presently, Mr. Boscaini holds the position of Chairman & Co-Chief Executive Officer at Masi Agricola SpA and Vice Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Istituto del Vino Italiano di Qualità – Grandi Marchi – Scarl. Mr. Boscaini is also on the board of Premium Wine Selection P.W.S. Srl, Fondazione Masi, Orvit Società per la Valorizzazione dei Vini Veronesi a r.l. and Le famiglie dell’amarone d’arte Società Consortile a r.l. (former Chairman) and Chairman of Federvini and Managing Partner at Società Agricola Vigneti del Campofiorin S.S.
He received an undergraduate degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Campus di Milano.

The origins of the Masi Prize are to be found in the reflections about regional identity shared by three Veronese friends at the end of the 1970s: Sandro Boscaini, president of Masi Agricola, the writer Cesare Marchi and the journalist Giovanni Vicentini.
