FALL COOKING & FRONT PORCH DECORATING | EASY WEEKNIGHT RECIPE | FALL PORCH DECOR | JESSICA O’DONOHUE
I am so excited to spend the day with you decorating my front porch for Fall and making a warm and cozy dinner to take to the farm! We are making Spaghetti Pie which is the perfect weeknight recipe and if you have never made it, trust us, you HAVE to! Here is a video with more detail:
Moms Chicken Pot Pie:
2 refrigerated pie crust
4-6 boneless chicken breast
3 tbs. margarine
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 cup Half and Half
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 grated carrot
1/2 cup frozen, thawed green peas
Boil chicken and save broth-chop chicken into bite size pieces
put chicken in pie crust and add peas and carrots
melt margarine in sauce pan and add flour-whisk together
Add broth and make sure there are no lumps
Add half and half, slowly whisking
Add cornstarch and salt and pepper
stir until it heats to a boil and pour over chicken mixture
Put on top crust, Poke 4 holes in top and cook for 30 mins at 400 degrees.
