Spicy arrabiata pasta is the perfect recipe for a flavourful and delicious pasta. It gives a perfect blend of the flavours and tingles the taste buds. Give it a try!!

Ingredients:

Boiled pasta (wheat or maida) – 500 grams
Olive oil – 4 tbsp
Butter – 1 tbsp
Garlic – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Brocoli florets – 3/4 cup
Carrot – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Capsicum – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Yellow bell pepper – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Red bell pepper – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Onions – 3/4 cup (chopped)
Chilli sauce – 1 tsp
Schezwan chutney – 1 tsp
Tomato puree – 1 cup
Salt – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
Oregano – 1 tsp

Steps:

1. In a pan add 2 tbsp olive oil and 1/2 tbsp butter.
2. Now add 1/2 cup garlic (chopped) and mix it.
3. Once the garlic has sauted well add 1/2 cup chopped capsicum, 1/2 cup yellow bell peppers and 1/2 cup red bell peppers. Sauté everything together for 2 minutes on medium heat.
4. Then add 1/2 cup chopped carrots and 1/2 cup brocoli florets. Mix everything well.
5. Sauté the vegetables for 2-3 minutes on low to medium flame.
6. Add 1 tsp oregano and mix it with the vegetables. Once the vegetables have sautéed well, remove them on a separate plate.
7. Don’t rinse the pan, use the flavours of the sauted vegetables. In the same pan, add 2 tbsp olive oil and 1/2 tbsp butter, then add 3/4 cup chopped onions, Mix it well.
8. Sauté the onions until they become translucent and then add 1/4 cup chopped garlics. Sauté everything together.
9. Once the onions have become translucent, add 1 cup tomato puree and cook it with the onions.
10. When it starts to simmer, add 1/2 cup boiled pasta water, Keep stirring in between and let the sauce boil.
11. Now add 1 tsp salt and mix it well. Since i like my pasta to be spicy, i have also added 1 tsp chilli sauce, 1 tsp Schezwan chutney and 1 tsp black pepper. Mix everything together. Then add 1 tsp oregano and 1 tsp chilli flakes. Mix everything.
12. Add the sauted vegetables and mix it with the sauce, coating them nicely, If you want to add some greens then you can add 1/2 cup chopped spinach.
13. Add the boiled pasta and mix it well with the sauces.
Spicy arrabiata pasta is now ready. Garnish it with oregano or parmesan cheese.
