Join Stevie Kim on another “On the Road Edition” (found here and on the Italian Wine Podcast) where she travels to yet another winery in Italy’s Northern Wine region. Here, with the Full Moon as the backdrop, she discovers “Luna di Ponca” (trans Ponca’s Moon), a limited edition of this new wine that was presented on the 24th of June by the new owners of the winery Moretti Polegato Family. The flying winemaker Riccardo Cotarella was the master blender for this new project.
Luna di Ponca is a Collio DOC Riserva made from Friulano, Chardonnay and Malvasia. A wine that is aged for a long time, partly in barrique. The wine that was obtained, came from the grapes of the 2019 harvest.
“Luna di Ponca” is the first label produced from the grapes of the newly acquired vineyards by the historic winery. The Moretti Polegato family has been at the helm of this estate since April 2019.
