I like to combine easy to find ingredients to create amazing pastas: these hot bucatini with mackerel won’t disappoint!
All you need is some tinned mackerel, garlic and CHILI (only the brave ones!), black olives, a handful of anchovies and – if you want – a tomato. Mix all these fantastic ingredients with the best bucatini pasta you can buy from your corner shop and… lunch is ready!

Hot bucatini with mackerel – RECIPE
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Complexity: Easy
Ingredients (4 people):
– 400gr bucatini
– 4000gr mackerel
– 4 anchovies
– 1 tomato
– 90gr black olives
– garlic
– parsley
– chili
Procedure:
1. Start by pouring some extra-virgin olive oil in a pan with garlic, the stems of the parsley and the anchovies;
2. Add the black olives and the mackerel and keep stirring while cooking at gentle heat;
3. In the meanwhile, get your bucatini to boil;
4. Add pasta water to the mackerel to create a nice cream. Then chop a tomato roughly and add it to the other ingredients;
5. Finely chop a chili – how much is up to you!
6. When the pasta is al dente, toss it in the pan with all the ingredients, add some pasta water and complete the cooking;
7. ENJOY!
ITALIAN FOOD BOSS SPECIAL TIP: I always like to add a chopped tomato to this pasta because I love tomatoes. You don’t have to!
