Andrea Calducci has been working on Italian food for 15 years. In 2019, he received an interview invitation from China. At that time, the Italian restaurant at Shanghai’s J Hotel was recruiting a head chef. With the yearning for “mysterious ancient oriental country”, Andrea came to Shanghai.

“I immediately fell in love with this city after I came here, whether it’s the environment or the culture. The culture of Shanghai is very similar to that of Italy, especially in the love of food, family and life. ”

“When I first sent the photo of the restaurant to my mother, she added a lot of emojis in the message she replied to me. She was really happy.”

“On the basis of the original Italian food, I combine Chinese food ingredients to make Italian food more in line with Chinese taste.”

For his future, Andrea Calducci believes that it must have something to do with Shanghai. He knows that the future will be full of passion and challenge.
