When Tony and I are craving good pizza or have a taste for Southern Mediterranean food, the first place that comes to mind is definitely Napoli Pizzeria in Waldorf!
Napoli’s offers a great diverse menu – there is definitely something for everyone – and they make it all so well! Try the pizza, a gyro platter, or maybe some baked lasagna! You just cannot go wrong with whatever you choose on their menu!
Napoli’s offers a cozy atmosphere. It is the epitome of an authentic pizzeria. The decor is simple, with a brick cladding on the walls, and large paintings of scenic Greece and the Mediterranean Sea. The staff here is friendly and the service is always great!
Tony and I visited Napoli’s for lunch. It was quiet and so unlike our past experiences here prior to COVID19. Having a packed house seemed to always be the norm here – and that definitely serves as testimony to the delicious food, friendly service and great value offered by this family run, business.
Our waitress, Melissa, was super sweet, friendly and attentive! Melissa brought out the large Antipasto salad first which was delicious, heavy on provolone cheese and tasty Italian cold cuts including mortadella, salami and ham. There were also sliced peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, peperoncini and salad greens. Extra large Kalamata olives dotted the rolled coldcuts, and a nice vinaigrette dressing was provided to top everything off!
We also ordered spinach pie, or spanakopita, which had great flavor and had me reminiscing about my childhood, when my mom would make this once in a while as a special treat.
Then it was time for the main event – a large well cooked pizza with sausage, pepperoni and onions. Napoli Pizzeria prepares the best pizzas! The pizza crust is delicious. The toppings are plentiful and the flavors are awesome. We especially love the sausage that Napolis uses – it is bursting with flavor! My only warning is that this pizza can be very addicting!
Tony and I ordered a dessert to go. We ordered a Greek pastry similar to Baklava, but this one had some chocolate in it. This was a perfect sweet conclusion to our delicious lunch!
