As we approach Ascension Sunday, and Pentecost Sunday 2021, Fr. Alfie shares his recipe for Hot Italian Sausages with Red Peppers. A simple dish that is quick to prepare, share this with your family with slices of bread. Share our channel and subscribe if you enjoy the recipes.

Ingredients:
Hot or Spicy Italian Sausages
Red (Sweet) Peppers
Garlic (two cloves)
One Onion
White Wine
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Cognac

Chop the onion into pieces.
Take the seeds out of the red peppers, and slice them up.
Fill the pan with olive oil and set it to medium heat.
Smash the garlic cloves and heat in the olive oil to flavour it.
Once heated, add the onions and sauté.
When fragrant, put in the sausages and cook for about five minutes.
Then, turn the heat up, and pour in the white wine.
Put the lid on the pan and cook.
After 5 minutes, remove the lid and add the red peppers.
Put the lid back on, turn the heat down and let it simmer for about 10 to 20 minutes to ensure that the sausages are thoroughly cooked.
Once the sausages are thoroughly cooked, pour in the cognac and let it flambé.
Plate, and serve.
