This is the perfect snack for your Italiano Aperitif: tuna and ricotta, mixed in nice baked balls! You could fry these tasty balls, but if you are looking for a lighter version, I suggest you use the oven.
I have mixed some fresh ricotta to some tuna, added some grated Parmigiano cheese and a couple of eggs, to make this fantastic balls, especially good when served next to a glass of Prosecco or an Aperol Spritz.

Tuna and Ricotta balls – RECIPE
Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 25 mins
Complexity: Easy
Ingredients (4 people):
– 200gr ricotta
– 200gr tuna
– 50gr Parmigiano cheese grated
– 60gr breadcrumb
– 2 eggs
– salt and pepper
Procedure:
1. Start by mixing the ricotta, the parmigiano, the eggs, the tuna and breadcrumb with the eggs. Adjust with salt and pepper as you like;
2. Once you have a nice consistency paste, you are ready to shape the balls;
3. Crumb each ball and lay them on a tray with baking sheet on it;
4. Sprinkle a few drops of olive oil on each ball, then bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 180C;
5. ENJOY!
ITALIAN FOOD BOSS SPECIAL TIP: You can add some finely chopped parsley and even some capers to the ingredients!
