Caaaaaaaaaaake!!!!!!!!
Here is a classic Ciambellone recipe – Italian cake par excellence – with an Easter twist. Chocoholics (you know who you are!) may prefer to substitute the candied peels for chocolate chips. It’s also delicious with chunks of fresh apple. Yuuuuuuuum!
INGREDIENTS
3 eggs
200g granulated sugar
100ml extra virgin olive oil
200ml full fat milk
500g plain flour
2 tsps baking powder
100g candied peels
100g sultanas
40g almonds
a generous sprinkling of coarse sugar or sugar sprinkles
