In this video I will show you how to make classic Italian meatballs, which you can pair with spaghetti or any kind of pasta you like. Or you can use them to make a classic Italian Hoagie! It is a tasty recipe that is easy to make and only takes about one hour to prepare.

INGREDIENTS – amount below will make about 12 golf ball sized meat balls.

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. mild Italian sausage – pork (without casing)
You can use all ground beef if you prefer not to use pork sausage. The pork sausage I used does have seasoning in it – pepper, salt, garlic and fennel.
1/2 cup fresh grated Paremsan or pecorino cheese
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs – un seasoned
1 large – or 2 small eggs
2 Tbsp. fresh minced parsley
1 tsp. garlic powder or granules
salt and pepper to taste ( 1/2 tsp. of each is what I used)

Follow instructions in video to combine and make meat balls.

Marinara sauce – you can buy store bought marinara already seasoned or make your own.

2 cups strained tomato sauce ( unseasoned)
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
2 minced garlic cloves
1 Tbsp. dried Oregano ( you can also use Italian seasoning)
Lots of salt – start with 1 tsp. then add more to taste
Some fresh cracked pepper- to taste
