One of my favorite things to have on my Thanksgiving table. This Sourdough bread & Italian sausage dressing/stuffing. So much flavor, and easy to make.

Thanksgiving Sourdough Bread, Sausage Dressing
Sourdough bread cubed ½ loaf
8 slices white bread cubed
4 Italian sausage links crumbled
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
3 stalks celery diced
1 medium white or yellow onion diced
1 green bell pepper diced
1 orange bell pepper diced
3 garlic cloves minced
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 stick butter
Olive oil
Salt, pepper, sage
In a large bowl combine the cubed bread, add olive oil just to coat. Add a sprinkle of salt. Spread onto 2 cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes, give them a toss about half way through.
Meanwhile, in a skillet brown the sausage about 10 minutes, remove from pan. Add the remaining vegetables, cook about 10 minutes just until translucent add minced garlic. Cook another minute. Remove from heat allow to cool about 10 minutes.
In a large bowl combine bread cubes and cooked vegetables add broth and eggs combining well. Add parsley give it another mix. Spray a 9”X13” inch baking dish or coat with butter. Pour everything into dish, cover with foil, bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Uncover the bake for anther 20 minutes. Ready to serve.
