โ€œTutti i nodi vengono al pettineโ€ (literally: โ€œall the knots will come to the combโ€) is a famous Italian idiom. It means that, sooner or later, you have to pay for the bad actions you have committed, the lies you have told or the difficulties you have postponed.
The English equivalent is โ€œAll your chickens are coming home to roostโ€.
