INGREDIENTS:
-Lasagna Noodles 1 packet
CHICKEN RED SAUCE
-Oil 2 tbsp
-Garlic cloves 2-3 chopped
-Onion 1 large chopped
-Chicken mince 1/2 kg or 500 grams
-Tomato paste 5 tbsp
-Tomato puree 3 1/2 cups or 800 grams
-Oregano 1 1/2 tsp
-Salt 1 1/4 tsp
-Chilli paste 1 1/2 tbsp
-Black pepper 1 1/2 tsp
LASAGNA WHITE SAUCE
-Butter 2 1/2 tbsp
-Flour 2 tbsp
-Milk 2 1/4 cups
-Salt n pepper 1 tsp
-Oregano and basil leaves 1tsp
-Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup
-Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup
DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1
-Take a non stick pan. Add oil in it. Sauté garlic into the oil for 15-20 seconds. Then add chopped onion into it. Cook until soft and tender.
-Add chicken mince and mix well. Then add tomato paste and tomato puree. (You can used store bought tins or blend tomatoes to make a fine puree)
-Add all spices now; oregano or basil leaves, salt, black pepper. Then add chilli paste in it. Mix it well. Cook on low to medium flame for 20-22 minutes.
STEP 2
-Take one packet of lasagna noodles and boil them according to the packet instructions and to prevent sticking use oil in between sheets.
STEP 3
-Take another non stick pan. Add butter into it and melt it properly. Add flour and mix continuously to prevent from lumps. Turn off the flame and gradually add milk and stir continuously. Add salt and pepper into it. Add oregano or basil leaves. In the end, add cheddar and mozzarella cheese both. Mix it well to make a smooth sauce.
STEP 4
ASSEMBLING:
-Take a casserole dish and grease it with butter. Then add a thin layer of white sauce. Spread it properly.
-Place first layer of lasagna sheets. Then add a layer of chicken mince. Add capsicums. Add a layer of white sauce. Add cheese.
-Repeat the process and make layers of lasagna.
-On the last layer add grated mozzarella cheese. Add some capsicums. Sprinkle some oregano or basil leaves.
-Bake it uncovered at 190 degree celsius for 22 to 25 minutes. Bake it until the top gets golden brown.
