Ingredients:
For cooking dal in pressure cooker:
1 cup Toovar dal (Toor dal / Arahar dal)
Β½ cup Chana dal (Bengal gram)
Β½ tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 glass of water for cooking the dal
For seasoning:
2 medium sized finely chopped onion
1 medium size chopped Tomato
5 cloves Chopped/crushed Garlic
Β½ inch piece of Chopped ginger
2 piece of chopped green chilly
ΒΌ tsp Salt
2 tbsp Ghee/ clarified butter
2 pieces of Dry red chilly
1 piece of bay leaf
ΒΎ tsp Cumin seed
1/2 tsp crushed Kasturi methi
ΒΌ tsp Coriander powder
1 pinch of Asafoetida
Β½ tsp Red chilly powder
ΒΌ tsp Garam masala
Finely chopped coriander leaves
