Eataly landed in the Arab countries in 2013 with the aim of introducing the culture of good food and high quality Italian gastronomy to those living in the Middle East. The first stop was in 2013 with the opening of a store in the Dubai Mall: 2,000 square metres inside the Dubai Mall to buy, eat and study high quality foods and beverages. In March 2016 Eataly opened its second establishment in the United Arab Emirates, this time in the prestigious Dubai Festival City Mall, in a beautiful location of about 600 square metres on the first floor of the Waterfront Promenade. Then, in November 2016, Eataly opened a shop in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In December 2016 it opened its fourth store in Doha Mall of Qatar and one year later, in December 2017, it opened its fifth store in Doha Festival City. In July 2019, the Middle East Eatalian family gets bigger with the arrival of Eataly Kuwait, opening at the main floor of the Avenues Mall.
