CARBONARA BUSHCRAFT (how to cook ORIGINAL ITALIAN PASTA – RECIPE) in the Dolomites Forest

There is nothing more beautiful (especially in this period) than spending some time with yourself, immersed in nature. So I decided to try to cook something delicious, an Italian classic: PASTA ALLA CARBONARA.
Before filling myself with criticism, I state that this is the first time I have ever cooked a carbonara (it is not typical of my region) and you too will understand that it is not easy to prepare it in a tiny stove in the middle of the forest. I’m not a cook and I’m not from Rome, so appreciate the effort and enjoy the moment like I did. As a final touch to make you indignant at me, I decided to eat this fantastic pasta with chopsticks (I still can’t make a fork out of wood)

Ingredients for one person:
• 100g pasta (or more)
• 60g guanciale (pig jowl or cheeks)
• 30g pecorino romano cheese
• 2 eggs
• salt and black peppercorns
How to:
• Make the peppercorns in powder and mix it with the two eggs yolks and the pecorino cheese
• Cook the pasta in boiling, salted water
• In a pan, cook the guanciale in his own fat
• Drain all but 1/2 cup of the pasta water and set aside
• Remove pan with guanciale from heat
• Add some drained water in the cream (eggs+pecorino+pepper)
• Mix the pasta, the guanciale and the cream all together
