Ingredients:

– Tomatoes
– Fresh basil
– Mozzarella
– Olive oil
– Balsamic glaze
– Salt
– Black pepper
– Oregano

Preparation:

* It’s good to use ripened tomatoes from the store, or of course garden grown tomatoes are the best. Cut tomatoes into thick slices and use for salad only core slices;
* cut mozzarella into slices;
* layer tomato slices, fresh mozzarella and basil on a serving platter. By the way avoid any basil that is dark and bruised. Look for vibrantly green leaves that aren’t wilting;
* season with salt, black pepper and oregano;
* drizzle with the olive oil and balsamic glaze.
