If you love pumpkin desserts, but also savory pumpkin dishes, this very simple recipe of homemade pumpkin puree will be a total change and will replace any canned pumpkin puree you’ve used to use until now.
Also, this pumpkin puree doesn’t need any other ingredient if you want it pure and it is very healthy, too.
Ingredients:
pumpkin (for pumpkin puree I prefer Butternut pumpkin or Turkish Pumpkin)
Instruction:
1. Slice the pumpkin and place it on parchment paper.
2. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the pumpkin for 35-40 minutes.
3. Let the pumpkin to cool down and peel it.
4. Using a hand blender or food processor, blend the pumpkin until you obtain a smooth pumpkin puree. Optional, you can add a tablespoon of softened butter if you like.
5. You can use it for pumpkin pie adding cinnamon, nutmeg, and other spices or you can use it for delicious pumpkin risotto or soup.
You can also freeze the extra pumpkin puree left.
