Upvas Idli Recipe Steps:

Varai/Bhagar – 3 Cups
Sago/Sabudana – 1 Cup
Curd – 2 Cups
Oil
Salt
*Grind the Bhagar and Sabudana in the Mixer properly.
*Now add curd to the grinded mixture.
*Mix it thoroughly.
*Now add some water till the mixture gets a proper consistency.
*Keep this batter for fermentation for about 10-15 minutes.
*Mix it well again.
*Now add 2 pinch of baking soda/cooking soda and salt(to taste) to the mixture.
*Grease the idli patra with the oil.
*Pour the idli batter in the idli patra.
*Steam the idli in steamer for 10 minutes or till its properly cooked.
Serve the hot upvas idli with coconut chutney.
