This Italian pasta recipe brings one of the best memories to my mind. It was 2009 and was my last year working in Croatia before I moved to New York City. Also fettuccine gorgonzola was the flavor of the summer that year π
Working there as a waiter or chef in the summer season is absolutely brutal, because you have non stop work for some 50-60 days staright. Some days even 15-16 hours. Bunch of hungry tourists waiting to eat the best pastas :). But is also very charming because the nights after hard days of work are very calm. I love the Adriatic Sea in summer!
Now back to this dish, one of the chefs there, made this fettuccine in a bit different way from what you are seeing in this cooking tutorial but was still equally delicious. We ate this pasta for four nights out of seven (that’s why was the “flavor of the summer”). Of course, I modified this recipe to my likings; his version was more like Alfredo sauce, which is what you will usually find in Italy, but still used the gorgonzola to give nice tangy taste.
I added chicken and mushroom but you can also completely eliminate these two and keep the base only with garlic, onions, seasoning, gorgonzola, heavy cream and the fettuccine. Just follow the same step by step tutorial presented in the video.
