Friday night in? Calls for pizza of course. Fun Sicilian style pizza recipe that’s great for topping with whatever you want, and sharing it with whoever you want (or not ).⁣

Yield: 8 Slices ⁣(or more)⁣
Prep time: 24h + 1h30m⁣
Baking time: 25m⁣

Dough⁣
400g Flour (100%) – ⁣
240ml Water (65%)⁣
2g Yeast, Instant (0.5%)⁣
8ml Olive Oil (2%)⁣
8g Salt (2%)⁣
8g Sugar (2%)⁣

Sauce⁣
280g Crushed tomatoes⁣
5-6 leaves basil ⁣
1x clove garlic (chopped/crushed)⁣
1 tbsp olive oil⁣
Salt to taste ⁣

Cheese⁣
150g Low moisture mozzarella (cubed/shredded)⁣
100g Cheddar (cubed/shredded)⁣

1. Add water, sugar and yeast to mixing bowl⁣
2. Once yeast has bloomed (5-10m) add olive oil, flour and salt.⁣
3. Mix till combined.⁣
4. Continue kneading for 5-8 minutes, till smooth and sticky.⁣
5. Ball dough, place in greased bowl, cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.⁣
6. Remove dough 2h before using.⁣
7. Generously grease deep baking pan with olive oil.⁣
8. Tip dough into pan and stretch to the ends. (If dough starts to resist, leave it to rest for 5 min intervals before going back to stretch again)⁣
9. Let dough proof for 1 hour.⁣
10. In a bowl mix crushed tomatoes, olive oil, basil, salt and garlic. ⁣
11. Top dough with 3/4 of the sauce.⁣
12. Bake for 10-15 mins @ 250°C⁣
13. Remove and top with cheese blend. ⁣
14. Bake for further 10 mins⁣
15. Remove and slice into as many slices you desire. ⁣
16. Enjoy :)⁣
