Villa SuSti danish owned winery is a Piedmontese winery located in Agliano Terme. Only 15 minutes south of Asti and 35 minutes north of the historical truffle city, Alba.
Agliano Terme is known for their incredible Barbera and Monferrato wines. Villa SuSti who owns 4 hectares of land, produces Barbera d’Asti in two hectares, located as a ribbon around their estate. They produce 10-12.000 bottles a year on low yield vineyards, where they each year do the green harvest. The grapes are picked by hand in September, and pressed in Lionello Giovanni’s wine estate in Agliano Terme. The winery is organic, and used no fertilizers or chemicals.
The vineyards have south-western sun exposure that insure great rippening, and grow in a terroir of mostly clay and sand, which bring freshness and minerals to the grapes.
