italian sausage……………………………………………1 lb or 400g
tomato sauce…………………………………………….. 2 lbs or 800 g
butter…………………………………………………………1/2 oz. or 15 g

Ragù alla bolognese is one of the most famous and beloved sauces for dressing your pasta or to make lasagne.
It is tipical from the city of Bologna, that’s why “Spaghetti Bolognese” became such a famous meal all over the world, even if it is not really something we use to say in Italy, we simply call it “Spaghetti al ragù”!

PROCEDURE

– Put the butter in a hot pot, with a spoon of Olive Oil
– Chop all the vegetables and drop them in the pot
– Let go for some minutes with LOW FLAME
– Peel the sausage and put it in the pot
– Let go for some minutes
– Using a kitchen hammer (or something similar) smash the sausage
– Add the mashed meat and let it all heat for another 5 minutes
– When everything is beginning to change color, pour a glass of red wine and mix
– Let go until all the smell of wine has gone, which means that alchool has evaporated
– After that, add the tomato sauce, and, if you like them some cloves
– From now on, the preparation is done, just cover the pot and let it go on low heat for a couple of hours
