This recipe uses the simplest ingredients to make the classic pasta Carbonara that is known around the world. Enjoy this beautiful dish in under 10 minutes using basic ingredients.

When I traveled to Italy in 2012, my goal was to try pasta Carbonara in every city I visited. From Rome to Venice to Florence to Palermo, I achieved my goal and there was one thing that was common among all the dishes, black pepper. This is what makes this dish traditional.

There are some restaurants that cheated and added cream and butter to make it creamy. BUT the try Carbonara pasta is made with eggs and THAT is what makes the pasta so creamy!

In this recipe I use:

– Olive oil
– Pancetta (or bacon if you can’t find pancetta)
– Eggs
– Parmesan cheese
– Freshly cracked black pepper
