No mayo ranch dressing: it’s my take on an American classic, using ingredients I can find in Italy. I actually prefer this version because the yogurt makes the dip really tangy. Also, it isn’t greasy, which can happen sometimes with mayonnaise. We don’t use this as a dressing because Italians normally dress their salads with olive oil, vinegar (or lemon), salt and pepper. This is great as a dip because it is very dense and creamy. I hope you enjoy it as much as my kids do.

Ingredients & measurements:
1 cup buttermilk: 1 cup milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
500 grams greek yogurt
200 grams sour cream
1 medium clove of garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup chopped chives
pepper to taste
oregano to taste
cayenne pepper to taste
