Hi guys!! These lovely cookies are called savoiardis. These cookies are the base of the famous tiramisu and they are the ones I used for last week’s tiramisu. Hope you try them out since these traditional Italian cookies are super soft and light, perfect for dipping in milk, coffee or tea 😀

Ingredients
-4 Egg yolks
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1/3 cup Sugar
-1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
-1/3 cup Sugar
-4 Egg whites
-3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour

Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 180 C.
2. In a large bowl whisk the egg yolks with 1/3 cup of sugar and the vanilla.
3. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until they turn into stiff peaks. Gradually whisk in the 1/3 cup of sugar but don’t overbeat
4. Fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Do this well.
5. Sift the flour into the egg mixture and fold it in even more gently.
6. With a piping bag, pipe the ladyfingers onto a baking sheet on the baking tray.
7. Sprinkle sifted powdered sugar onto.
8. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown on the top.
9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
10. Enjoy or store in an airtight container.
