Spaghetti Bolognese

It’s a dish consisting of spaghetti with tomato sauce and meat sauce. Its very easy to make and perfect meal on busy working day.

Ingredients
For sauce
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 onion
• 2 Garlic cloves
• 1-inch ginger
• 500 gm lamb or chicken mince or beef mince (I have used lamb mince)
• 500 gm ready made Bolognese sauce or any tomato-based pasta sauce
• ½ tbsp salt
• ¾ sugar
Spaghetti:
• Spaghetti 75 -100 gm per person
• Water for cooking Spaghetti & ½ tsp salt
• Grated Parmesan cheese, to serve

Method:
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in saucepan
Fry chopped onion. There is no need to brown onions
Add finely chopped garlic and ginger and saute for 2 min
Add 500 mg mince of your choice. I have used lamb mince.
Brown the added mince and add ½ tbsp salt
Add readymade 500 gm Bolognese sauce or any tomato-based pasta sauce
Gently simmer the sauce until mince is cooked for around 30 – 35 minutes
Add ¾ tbsp sugar to balance the acidity of sauce
To make spaghetti, in large pot bring water to boil and add ½ tbsp salt
Cook spaghetti for 12 min or as per package instruction
Once the spaghetti is cooked through, drain
Serve it with Bolognese sauce and grated Parmesan cheese
Mix spaghetti and sauce well and enjoy the delicious meal !!!!

Notes:
Spaghetti needs to serves while hot as it doesn’t taste well and becomes chewy after cools down
You can make the sauce beforehand or can also freeze it for up to 2 months
Add sugar to balance the acidity of tomatoes and also it enhances flavors
