Today the Pirro’s kitchen is making a Festive Fall Pizza perfect for chilly weather and casual dinners in front of the fire. Check out the full recipe and links below!
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Butter
1/2 Onion
2 Garlic Cloves, crushed and chopped
One Artisan Pizza Crust
4 oz. Pirro’s Pizza Sauce (about 1/2 jar)
8 oz. Shredded Mozzarella
3 oz. Thinly Sliced Prosciutto
2 cups Fresh Kale destemmed and coursley chopped
1/4 cup Shaved Romano Cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
3. Thinly slice onions and add to the pan along with crushed garlic. Cook until caramelized.
4. Take pizza crust and evenly layer 4 oz. of Pirro’s Pizza Sauce.
5. Next, layer shredded mozzarella.
6. Remove onions and garlic from heat and evenly distribute atop pizza.
7. Layer each slice of proscuitto over onions and garlic until pizza is well covered.
8. Finish with a layer of freshly chopped kale.
9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust edges are slightly browned.
10. Remove pizza from oven and top with shaved romano cheese.
11. Slice and serve.
