Number 10 – Support Local Business

If you are financially sound, take one day a week (or more) and order food as takeout or delivery from one of your favorite local restaurants. You will be helping them to stay afloat and they will appreciate the business!
We looked up Nicolosi’s Italian Restaurant and ordered some Italian food and Chianti wine.

Number 9 – Movie Night

Pick one night to be your family movie night. Select a DVD that you have not watched for some time, or use one of the many streaming services available – Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. Pop a bowl of popcorn if you have it and enjoy your movie!

Number 8 –Video Calls with Family & Friends

Use Skype, Facetime, or download Zoom and make a video call to your family and friends to check up on them. Or just pick up your phone and do the same thing.

Zoom:

Number 7 – Virtual Vacation

Use your favorite Internet Search Engine and search for vacation spots that have always been on your to-do list. Search out the local sightseeing spots that you would visit and if you want to confuse post to Social Media your upcoming trip!

Vatican Tour:

Number 6 – YouTube Tutorials

Almost anything that you want to learn how-to-do can be found on YouTube – gardening, cooking, photography, software, you name it! I use these tutorials almost every day –Open Broadcast Software (which I am using for this video), Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and numerous other things.

Number 5 – Virtual Zoos

Many zoos and museums have webcams or video tours of their exhibits. Check your local zoo website or favorite museum to find the links. I will have a couple links of some in the description.

Number 4 – Learn a New Language

There are several free and inexpensive Internet programs available to learn a new language. I use some of these for my Spanish learning. Some of these sites include:

• Duolingo:
• Living Language:
• Babbel:
• italki:

Number 3 – Plant a Garden

Pick out some space in your apartment or your backyard and plant a small garden. If your local hardware store is open, you can normally find plants, soil, and pots. Decide if you want to grow flowers, succulents, or vegetables. Do your research and start gardening!

Number 2 – Donate to Your Local Food Bank

If you lost your job or gig work, or are on a tight budget, find out where you can get free groceries for you and your family. Check with your local food banks or Salvation Army.

However, if you are financially sound at the moment, search for your local food bank and donate money and/or food to them. There are lots of people that can use some help right now. If your local grocery store is taking donations for the local food banks, add a dollar or more for them when you get your groceries.

Number 1 – Binge Watch ‘HB Maverick’ videos!

This one is easy to do – first get your beverage of choice nearby and then go to HB Maverick’s Videos page and click on the Play All button!
