SIMPLIFIED RECIPE FOR KIDS

RECIPE
Dough Ingredients:
160 g butter
160 g sugar
360 g flour
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
lemon zest

Filling:
1 jar any type of jam: apricot, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, apple, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine all dough ingredients in a bowl and beat on medium for 1-2 minutes until you obtain a crumbly mixture.
2. Pour mix into tart pan or pizza pan and knead until the consistency of pie dough. Set 1/4 of the dough aside for later.
3. Press dough into tart or pizza pan, creating a low crust around the edges.
4. Spread jam evenly over dough. Thickness depends on personal taste.
5. Roll out the dough you set aside. Cut into strips to make a lattice or, alternatively, use cookie cutters to cut shaped pieces to place on top of jam.
6. Place into preheated oven at 160C/320F and bake for 35-45 minutes or until crust is golden.
