Meatballs with tomato sauce – a traditional Italian dish and a staple in every home especially here in Sciacca. An easy , delicious and affordable dish for the whole family to enjoy! Here is our recipe and we hope that all of you will like it and try it yourselves.

MEATBALLS WITH TOMATO SAUCE
(Polpette con sugo)
INGREDIENTS:
TOMATO SAUCE:
500g Fresh Tomatoes / 500ml canned tomatoes
12 Basil leaves
3 cloves of garlic
2 onions (chopped)
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp pepper
4 tbsp olive oil
MEATBALLS :
500g ground beef
50g parmesan cheese
200g bread crumbs
30g parsley
3 eggs
200g all purpose flour
3 tbsp fennel Seeds
pinch of salt and pepper
