How To Cook A Simple Marinara Sauce Ep.116
– Pot on medium – high heat
– 1 tsp. olive oil
– 1/2 cup onions finely dice, saute 1-2 minutes
– 1 clove of garlic finely diced, saute 1 minute
– 28 oz. San Marzano tomatoes
– 2 Tbs. tomato paste
– 1 tsp. basil
– 1 tsp. oregano
– 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes ( optional )
– 1/2 tsp. of each salt and pepper
– Blend well with stick blender or potato masher
– Cover and place on low heat for 45 minutes
– Stir occasionally
– Let cool, store in refrigerator or freeze up to 3-4 month
– Great for pasta, casseroles and pizza sauce
