Today, we explore Fallbrook, California’s gardens, roam Myrtle Creek, pick strawberries, and visit a vineyard in Temecula all in one day. Topping it off with dinner, birthday cake, and spiritual talks out in nature. Here’s a peaceful idea for a day getaway or even for Mom’s birthday.
“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” – Vincent Van Gogh
First we checked out the Compass Garden at Fallbrook’s Grand Tradition Estate, a stunning spot to host weddings and events or to bring friends and family together for a day visit. Though it isn’t captured in the video, the estate has a beautiful ballroom amidst the trees, breeze, and waterfalls you must see for yourself.
Our next stop was Myrtle Creek, a flower filled garden, farm, cafe, & giftshop. The creek was so cute I couldn’t believe it existed. Cafe Bloom is their in-house cafe with just a few farm fresh food and drink items, including their beyond delicious Myrtleberry Lemonade, as seen in the video. After playing with trinkets and goats, we decided to buy relatively inexpensive avocados from a nearby stand, and follow it up with strawberry fields forever.
Kenny’s U-Pick Farm is family-owned and known for not using fumigants on their crops. as a result, I found the strawberries to be jucier, sweeter, and tastier than any strawberry I’d had before. In my opinion they were WAY overpriced but you are ultimately paying for the experience. Throughout the year, they change their crops to keep up with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
We move onwards to Temecula’s vineyards where one in particular caught our attenion. The Wilson Creek Winery is not only visually beautiful but seems to be one of the most popular spots for Temecula visitors. There is oftentimes live music playing in the courtyard and huge groups of people relaxing, trying new blends, and enjoying their time on the property, Regrettably my second camera battery died as soon as we got here, so I was only able to get a couple of shots, all of which were worth the quick capture.
Our final destination was a sweet Italian restaurant located in the heart of old town Temecula, Palumbo’s Ristorante. As it was the weekend, surrounding dining was packed and we were grateful to find this cute spot where the service was great and the food top notch. We all LOVE pizza (it may be genetic) so we were thrilled either way. Upon leaving the establishment, we went for a peaceful walk down the strip, feeling blissful about how much we experienced all in one day.
