March 12, 2020. The entire country: Italy is in lock down!
All non essential stores, bars and restaurants are close.
Supermarkets and pharmacy are open.
Woke up with the news that the entire country is in lock down.
We did our morning routine, had breakfast, read news and then decided to check out some supermarket near us.
First thought was there will be long lines and people in panic buying mode. There was none!
Visited 3 different stores, almost everyone was friendly and following the mandatory distancing from others. All seem to be normal. Hearing people talking about the virus, some are worried, some just want the lock down to be over soon and some are making joke about it.
When you watched the news, it always sound like it’s the end of the world!
It’s not! People here are trying to live life normal as they can. Abiding by the Governments rules and regulation and hoping one day all is over.
For us, we have to wait and see what happens until lock down is over. Still hoping to go home to the US soon. Life is boring, can’t go nowhere.
I am glad Italy has great food and wine!
