We are restoring the ground floor of our old house in Italy and this is part 1.

We are sharing our plans, and what do you think:
Should we demolish the wall between the kitchen and dining room, or go via the hall?

๐Ÿ“š Weโ€™ve published a free renovation guide and the novel Palazzo Puro. You can find both via the link in our bio ๐Ÿ‘†

๐Ÿซถ We always love hearing from you!

Ciao,
Roger & Mirella โค๏ธ

  1. I think it could be good either way. Just donโ€™t take out too much. Open spaces are good, but you need a balance of closed and open spaces.

  2. Connecting the kitchen to the dining room is practical but I wouldnโ€™t make it a full open space. Iโ€™d put a large doorway – french doors? – to allow some connectivity without it becoming one huge space. I think itโ€™s nice to have a little separation.
