In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend’s lists – but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.
After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew – and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! I’ve visited Venice twice, once in March and another in April and wish I’d seen this video first. The info provided is spot on. Fortunately, I did my own prior research so got it right but it took some time to plan. What I’d add is really expect to do a lot of walking and there is no where to sit unless purchasing food or drink. Also, don’t rule out visiting in March. The temps are more moderate and crowds much smaller. Lastly, don’t wait too long before purchasing advance ticket to major sites, yes they cannot be changed but they often sell out early.
